A consultation gives us a chance to talk through what you’re looking for and see whether my approach feels supportive and aligned. Finding the right therapeutic fit matters, and you’re welcome to ask questions and trust your sense of what feels right.

I strongly recommend in-person sessions whenever possible. The work I do involves slowing down, paying attention to nuance, and creating a safe, collaborative space for deeper emotional and relational work. Trauma therapy and couples work tend to be most effective when we are in the room together, where presence and attunement are more accessible. Once we’ve established an in-person working relationship, I’m open to the occasional online session when circumstances arise that make coming in difficult.

The first few sessions are about getting to know you and understanding what has shaped your inner world and relationships. We’ll explore your history, what’s bringing you to therapy now, and patterns that may have helped you cope earlier in life but feel limiting today. Together, we’ll develop a shared understanding of your goals and a thoughtful plan for how we’ll move forward.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, as each person and relationship is unique. That said, this work isn’t meant to be rushed. Many individuals and couples choose to work with me for a year or longer in order to create meaningful, sustainable change rather than quick fixes.

Many people come to this work having tried therapy before, and those experiences are often an important part of their journey. When you don’t experience the outcome you hoped for, it doesn’t mean the work was wasted, the approach was wrong, or that there’s something wrong with you. Change depends on timing, readiness, curiosity, and connection, and earlier therapy often lays a solid foundation for a new season of growth.

I’m a Christian, and I welcome incorporating spiritual or faith-based themes when they’re meaningful to you. This can include prayer, Scripture, questions of calling or purpose, or the ways your faith shapes your inner life and relationships. Therapy is guided by what matters most to you, and we can engage these themes as openly or gently as feels right. Clients who do not have a particular spiritual interest are equally welcome, and their values and preferences are fully respected.

Yes. I offer couples intensives for those who want focused, immersive work over a shorter period of time. Intensives can be especially helpful when couples feel stuck or want to create momentum without the slower pace of weekly sessions.

My current rates are listed above. I’m happy to answer any additional questions about fees during a consultation.

My practice is primarily private pay. I do accept insurance through Loma Linda University Risk Management. For other plans, I can provide a superbill so you can explore possible out-of-network reimbursement directly with your provider.

I do not offer a sliding scale. My fees reflect the depth of the work and the time and care involved in supporting this kind of therapy.

Appointments must be canceled with at least 24 hours notice to avoid being charged the full session fee. Missed sessions or late cancellations are billed at the full rate.
